I'm opposed to third parties that have no plan or infrastructure, or path. Propasaurus: I'm not necessarily opposed to third (or additional) parties. So, Cornell gets elected, Congress steamrolls over him, and that protest vote goes down in flaming failure. And because neither the Socialists nor the Greens nor the "No Labels" haven't bothered to even try to elect 220 Representatives and 60 Senators, they are going to be severely limited in what they can shaky accomplish. What makes you think Cornell West is going yo be able to hers all those rabid cats? Who in Congress is going to stick their necks out for RFKJr? What can Socialist President Claudia realistically get done? The President is not a Monarch or dictator. Even a strongman like Trump with an army of sycophants couldn't push through his radical wishlist. A well liked President like Obama could barely squeak through a drastically reduced health care bill. then what? Even a qualified, experienced president like Biden can't push through his agenda. Let's say the Greenwise Party miraculously manages to elect their unknown, inexperienced, unconnected candidate to the presidency. If your party doesn't have a nationwide apparatus, running candidates for everything from dog catcher to city council to mayor to state legislatures to Congress, then holding the presidency doesn't do f*ck all. If your 'party' just pops up every four years to run a presidential candidate, it's little more than a cash grab. I'm not necessarily opposed to third (or additional) parties.
